Care

Three ways I work, all quiet ones

Most visits use acupuncture. The other two sit beside it when they suit you, and you can always say no to either.

  • Acupuncture

Fine, single-use needles in a few places, then rest. The main visit.

  • Ear seeds

Small seeds taped to the ear, pressed between visits. No needles.

  • Moxibustion

Gentle warmth from a smoldering herb, held above the skin.

What acupuncture does not do

It does not replace your doctor, and it does not change what you take. It cannot tell you why your sleep has changed; a doctor can look for causes, and some of them are worth finding.

I will not promise a result. Some women notice a change within a few visits and some notice little. I will tell you honestly if I think another kind of help would suit you better.

When to see a doctor instead

Snoring with pauses in your breathing, night sweats with weight loss, a low mood that is new or won't lift, chest pain or a racing heart, and heavy bleeding all need a doctor first. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), any time. In an emergency, call 911.

Not sure which one?

Start with a first visit. We decide together what to use, and I explain each step.
